Antonia Delgado

Antonia Delgado has recently taken the position as Executive Board Treasurer in 2020. She had been a Board Member, Advisory Board Member, and supporter of Words on Wheels since its formation in 2010.

Antonia is a graduate of Robert Morris College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. 

She spent 24 years in the banking business as teller, commercial teller, cash management analyst and commercial product service specialist at First Midwest Bank.

Antonia served on the College of Lake County Advisory Board/Lakeshore Campus and the Coalicion Latinos Unidos de Lake County (Latino Coalition) Board. She also has been volunteering the past couple of years at her church with a worship team as a tech.

Antonia lives in Zion, Illinois with her husband Miguel. She has a grown daughter and is very close to her nieces, nephews, sisters, and family. Antonia currently enjoys being a caregiver to her infant grand-nieces and has been able to learn firsthand the importance of reading, singing, and playing with babies. Being able to help with their early childhood learning and brain development, with special milestones achieved, Antonia feels it has been very rewarding. She lives the mission of Words on Wheels!
