Beth E. Ragsdale
Beth E. Ragsdale is the Founder and first Executive Director of Words on Wheels, Inc. She formed this organization with a board of trusted friends, family, and colleagues, each with high levels of skills and talents, as well as infant and toddler specialists. The volunteers and donors are committed to the mission and vision of Words on Wheels.
Her love of young children and the knowledge of the critical impact that can be made when they are offered the best Early Childhood Experiences, motivated her to see her idea become a reality.
Beth retired from First Midwest Bank after a 42 year career in community banking. She served on the local boards of A Safe Place, Vista Health System, Waukegan Township Staben House, City of Waukegan Chamber of Commerce, University Center of Lake County/Lakeshore Campus, Artspace, and Vista Healthy Woman.
Beth lives in Lake Villa IL, and has been married for over forty-five years. She has two daughters, two grandchildren, lots of nieces and nephews, and has sisters as well as brothers. They all share a passion for young children and a love of language which provided the motivation behind Words on Wheels, Inc.
