Dawn started her work as a volunteer at age 9 where she served alongside of her Grandmother at a local soup kitchen every week for 4 years.
Dawn gave up her free period during her Jr. and Sr. year of high school to assist with the Special Needs Choir.
Following graduation, Dawn went on to work as a teacher’s assistant for an organized curriculum-based day care, where she was trained and licensed to provide Early Childhood care. Later she went on to provide human resource services for Hewitt Assoc.
As a mother of 3 children, Dawn has given much of her time volunteering as a Room Mom, chaperoning and even organizing field trips, and events at St. Anastasia School in Waukegan IL
Starting in 2002 following the loss of her father to Leukemia, she began participating and organizing fundraisers for the National Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Today, Dawn provides in home child care for children ages 5 and 3. Dawn enjoys reading, singing and working on numbers and letters with the children she cares for and her young nieces and nephews. She also runs an online business. Her children have all grown and she is enjoying her time with her family and her grandchild.
