Peg Drew

Peg Drew is a retired Regional Manager for the Chicago Metro Area at Illinois Secretary of State. Peg earned a BS degree in English from Loyola University of Chicago. She was the past chairman for the Waukegan Citizen's Council. Peg was a member of the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Genesee Theater and the Dan Drew Waukegan Mayoral transition team.

Peg has been an integral part of Words on Wheels since 2009, and she has served on the Board as secretary. Peggy continues to work with Words on Wheels on our Board and on our committees. She has volunteered many hours to Words on Wheels with the planning, fundraising, and administrative duties. Peg's special expertise is being a very organized individual and very proficient in office procedures and practices. Using her office skills, Peg helps run WOW in a proficient and professional manner. Meanwhile, her focus has been to help undeserved children as she serves as one of our volunteers.

Peg is a mother of four grown children and eight small grandchildren. Her devotion and dedication to children and their learning experiences has always been her utmost priority.  She feels that without a strong background in words and reading, children may not be able to reach their full potential.
